Perform Schedule Baseline Action Steps:

  1. See WeConnect Icon. As we can see, we have received an action request, click on it to check.

  1. In our example, the Project Manager; Leen requested a new schedule baseline for her project. Click on the tab to view it.

Tip: New Baseline requests are received in personal conversation not within the project group.

  1. As we can see, the schedule baseline approval message contains the requester (sender), project name, justification, and (click here) Hyperlink to perform the action (Approve/ Reject). Also as we can see it shows a Pending Status, as the action has not been performed yet.

  2. Click on (click here) Hyperlink, to make an action.

  1. Schedule Baseline Approval Screen will be shown. In this part of it, we will see the project name, schedule tolerance percentage, project (new start, finish, finish after tolerance dates), and phases (new start, finish, finish after tolerance dates).

  2. Name of approver which is by default supposed to be you as long as the message sent to your WeConnect, and Justification of this new baseline.

  3. Attachment, as most of the time the project manager cannot send any request for a new baseline without a CR approved.

  4. Schedule baselines log to inform us of any previous baselines.

  5. We will go through the approval case now, so please Click on Approve.

  1. A pop-up will appear notifying you that the request is approved from your side. Click on Ok.

  1. As we can see, the request status has been changed from pending to Approved.

  2. This is to notify the project manager; Leen that you approved her request.

  1. You can click on cancel to exit this screen.

  2. Lets see what happens when we Reject the request. Click on Reject.

  1. A pop-up will appear to confirm that the request has been rejected from your side. Click on Ok.

  1. The status will be changed to rejected instead of pending before performing the action.

  2.  The Project Manager will also receive a notification of this schedule baseline rejection.
